An access log is a comprehensive list of all the files that were accessed by the guests of a certain Internet site. Every single file which was requested in some way shall be listed, so if you have a single page with three embedded images, one video and one embedded text file, for example, the access log shall contain a total of 6 entries - one for each of the 6 files which were accessed when the site visitor opened the webpage. A log usually offers the file name and path, the date, along with the visitor’s OS, web browser and IP address. Occasionally you could also find the referrer sites that sent the visitors to your website. The information an access log file contains is in human-readable plain text format. It could be processed by special software on a laptop or computer and used to write reports on the functionality of a site, in addition to the web statistics that your hosting server may have produced.
Access Log Manager in Shared Website Hosting

plans, you shall get in-depth access logs for all of your Internet sites. After you sign in to your Hepsia Control Panel, you can check out the Access/Error Logs section in which you will see an extensive list of the domains
and subdomains you have added or created within the hosting account. You'll simply have to click on the On button, which is found on the right-hand side of each hostname and our cloud platform shall start generating logs immediately. To disable this feature, you will need to follow the exact same steps and click on the Off button. The domains and subdomains can be managed individually and whenever you want. You'll find a download link within the Logs section of the CP for any log created by our system, so that you can save the file to your PC and view it or use it with some log processing software.
Access Log Manager in Semi-dedicated Hosting
When you have a semi-dedicated server
account with us, it won't take more than a few mouse clicks to trigger the generation of access logs by our system if you need them. The function could be permitted from the Hepsia web hosting Control Panel and this can be done separately for each domain or subdomain you have inside your account. Whenever you log in and check out the Access/Error Logs section of the CP, you will find a list of all the hostnames with an On/Off button next to all of them. A single click will trigger the log generation and another one shall deactivate it, so you can control this function with great ease. A Download link in the same section will enable you to save the generated content as a text file, which you could then use on your notebook or computer. Even when the logs are deactivated, you will still be able to download the data which has been previously generated.
